Essentia Health hires three providers

Essentia Health has hired Shamudheen Rafiyath as a hematologist in Fargo, and Monika Pokharel as an internist and Rajit Kaushal as a hospitalist in the Essentia St. Mary’s Detroit Lakes, Minn., location.

Rafiyath will join the medical oncology and hematology team. He earned a medical degree from Trivandrum Medical College and the University of Kerala in Indiana.

Pokharel will join the team in internal medicine. She earned her medical degree from the Rajshahi Medical College in Bangladesh.

Kaushal will join the team in hospitalist services. He earned a medical degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College in India. Kaushal practiced medicine for more than seven years in India.

Margheim named partner at NY Life

Rob Margheim has been named partner of the Fargo office of New York Life Insurance Co.

Margheim has worked for New York Life for four years, most recently as financial services professional.

He earned a degree in marketing and information systems at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Ulteig hires Miller, Johnson and Tareski

Ulteig Engineering has hired Sharon Miller as human resources director, Karsten Johnson as a help desk technician and Neal Tareski as a facilities manager.

Miller graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in English. She has more than 14 years of human resources experience for companies such as Great Plains Software, Microsoft, RDO Equipment Co., The Partner Channel and the North Dakota Research and Technology Park. She also founded her own consulting practice, Dynamic Business Cultures.

Johnson earned an associate degree in computer and network technology from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead. He was previously employed as a desktop support analyst at CompuCom in Dallas.

Tareski graduated from Rider University, Lawrenceville, N.J., with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was previously employed as an assistant facilities manager at CBRE in Overland Park, Kan.

Discovery Benefits promotes Larson

Discovery Benefits has promoted Michelle Larson to associate vice president of sales.

Larson has been with the company since 2007, most recently as regional director of sales.

She graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management.

General Equipment & Supplies, Fargo, has hired Cassie Miller as receptionist, Theresa Keimig as a receptionist and sales assistant, Jeanne Larson as the aggregate sales assistant and Kurtis Lemar as the aggregate sales coordinator.

General Equipment is the Komatsu dealer in North Dakota and is a full-service heavy construction and aggregate equipment dealer in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Manitoba and Sas-katchewan.

Otter Tail Corp. hires Gunderson, Vaagene

Otter Tail Corporation has hired Jon Gunderson as treasury analyst and Niki Vaagene as executive assistant to the CEO and senior vice president of operations.

Gunderson previously worked for 15 years as an accounting manager for Unicel and Verizon Wireless. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Minnesota, Morris.

Vaagene previously worked as an executive assistant at DMI Industries, Fargo. She is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead.

Tschosik promoted to Tupperware director

Melissa Tschosik, of Fargo, has attained the level of Tupperware director.

Tschosik attended college at Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has been involved with Tupperware since 2010, and specializes in home parties, fundraisers and bridal showers.

Pedigree Technologies hires Gramer, Kappel

Pedigree Technologies, Fargo, has hired Richard Gramer as chief financial officer and Jared Kappel as senior accountant.

Gramer has more than 30 years of financial experience. He is a graduate of St. John’s University, Collegeville, Minn., and pursued post-graduate studies at William Mitchell College of Law, Minneapolis. He is currently the managing member of Environmental Data Management, Scottsdale, Ariz.

Kappel earned an accounting degree at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at North Dakota State University. He most recently worked for Imaging Solutions.
